How the NAVH Loan Library Works: 

1. Anyone who needs or prefers large print can use our loan library. Ask for a catalog from NAVH. We request, when possible, a $12 donation to cover the cost of printing the catalog. 

2. Select 20 - 30 books and send a list of titles and authors to NAVH. Be sure to include the address where you wish books to be sent and a phone number in case we need to contact you. Unfortunately, we can only send books directly to individuals. We are able to send books to P.O. Boxes. 

3. Books will be sent to you by mail, two at a time. You may keep the books for two months. When you are ready to return them, place them in the mailer provided, affix the self-addressed label, and return them to NAVH, postage free. As soon as we receive your books, we will send two more.

Borrowing books from our large print loan library is a free service provided by NAVH to those who need or prefer large print. Your donation or membership will help us continue to provide this service free of charge to those who are unable to make a donation.

If you are a publisher interested in large print, please contact us for more information about our large print standards at 212-889-3141. Quality large print involves more than just increasing font size. We can help you with things like proper contrast, spacing and font type.
